The new range of Hague Highshot kits are an extension to the current range and offer the flexibility and performance required for professional use.
The 6.2m (20ft 4”) Hague Highshot Mast provides an elevated view, with the ability to manually pan and tilt the camera. It’s ideal for compact cameras and small camcorders. Most modern cameras now have WiFi and Bluetooth capability so the camera can be controlled by an app on your phone or tablet which can be mounted at the base of the mast, or a cable can be run down the mast for monitoring and camera control. The Highshot mast is supplied with cable cleats should you be running cables down from the camera.
The telescopic mast is lightweight and quick to set up, it has a minimum height of 158cm and a maximum height of 620cm. It is supplied with a tilt head which has a quick release camera plate, making it easy to mount the camera. At the base of the mast a handle is attached to pan the mast with a control cable to tilt the camera. Next to the pan bar there is a mounting plate with both 1/4” and 3/8” threaded holes for attaching an articulating arm, plus a 5/8” (16mm) socket which is used to attach the supplied Hague Ball Levelling Head. The ball levelling head has a standard 1/4" camera screw on top which allows you to mount a viewing monitor directly or a phone/tablet when used with a relevant phone/tablet mount.

Applications
Indoor or outdoor, the mast gives you that extra height compared to a traditional tripod that may not be high enough. Compared with the traditional view the result is completely different and the image is greatly improved when taken from a higher view point.

Club Soccer
Hey Everyone, I have been using the Hague AMP4 setup for about 6 months now for my daughter's club soccer team and extremely happy with it. I decided to go with this setup over the VEO and/or Trace type camera systems because I wasn't happy with the overall picture quality of those cameras. This gave me the flexibility of using my own video camera. However, although it's fun to record; it would be nice to be able to watch the game once in a while and not have to worry about recording the game which is one of the biggest advantages of the VEO/Trace type setups. It took a few times to get used to setting it up but once you figure it out; it's pretty straightforward and easy. It's easy to use and it definitely improved the camera angle and overall view but sometimes you run out space to place it, especially if you are at a tournament where the soccer fields are back-to-back. I place the mast about 25' from the sideline to get a best angle to capture soccer play when it's nearest to you while the quality of the video will solely depend on the video camera you use. I will not only pan and tilt but will use the zoom on my video camera to get the farther shots which works out great. I also found that for me, the sweet spot to record is around 15' high but again, that is just me. The only area of improvement but not sure how you would do it, make it easier to mount the cable to the handle and/or have an easier way to adjust it once the cable is connected. Not a big deal but it does get a little annoying trying to adjust it. My current setup is a Sony FDR-AX700, Sony RM1BP Remote Commander, Ninja V Recorder, Rode Microphone, and a custom cage that I use to keep mount all the accessories including portable battery. Tripod came with two parts damaged and the lower extension tube detached itself from the base tube or housing when extended! Fortunately I did not have a camera attached which would certainly have been damaged. This I had to correct myself. Asked for some compensation due to inconvenience involved and offered a £20 coupon..... My camera is worth £2,000! Replacement parts have yet to be received!

Absolutely amazed at the ease of set-up and quality of workmanship. Tower is super solid in winds up to 20 mph, when other tents and structures were being blown over and around, we kept filming and didn't miss a beat. Overall, I highly recommend this tower for filming soccer, football and any other outdoor sports.
