Does exactly what I hoped it did

Posted by Martin Eldon on 29th Oct 2020

I'm a youtuber that has to film himself a lot so, being able to move the camera remotely rather than constantly getting up and down to adjust it has been such a treat. The auto pan mode has come in useful as well for panning shots that were previously impossible for me.

    Time-Lapse

Posted by Barry Aldous on 5th Oct 2020

This device is robust and compact and performs well within the specification. My only criticism is with the remote control which is tricky to use for video work; a joystick would be much better. In addition, It would be useful to have a time lapse facility as an addition to the automatic setting whereby the remote included an intervalometer and the PH Head itself included a camera trigger socket. Other than that, I am pleased with the device and the support provided by Hague.

    Solid as a Daitarn III

Simple but solid. compact and, having to use it at high heights, that's what I need.

Well made, and fairly robust. It survived a soaking on its first outing. Easy to set up and use.

Hague PH Pan & Tilt Power Head 340°

    Posted by T Martyn-Jones on 15th Jun 2018

I have purchased & use 4 Hague PH Pan & Tilt power heads - all of which operated perfectly except for one. I operate them using the battery power option and on the faulty unit the power would not turn on. I opened it up and investigated, finding 2 faults with the internal wiring: 1) one of the battery connectors was not soldered; 2) the power wire feeding from the battery/transformer socket had become detached. I quickly repaired both, re-assembled the unit & it now works perfectly. This is a Quality Assurance problem. Good value but could be better

Posted by syd hutchinson on 31st Mar 2016

Some reviews complained about the motor noise but I find it silent. Certainly the mics don't pick it up. It is larger than I was expecting. Wireless remote would be a huge advantage especially as the cable and control panel rotate. Surely this should be static with just the centre column rotating. The other major improvement would be to scrap the cam fixing screw on top and replace it with a quick release system. I have a Manfrotto release plate on the bottom for fast release from the tripod, but the cam still has to be screwed to the top.
